In the Czech Republic, the days before Christmas Eve feel different.
Time slows down. Candles are lit. Kitchens grow warm.
Advent wreaths appear on tables, children dust their hands with flour while baking gingerbread, and homes fill with the scent of vanilla, cinnamon and rum. In many families, weeks are spent preparing Christmas sweets — sometimes dozens of different kinds — each one carrying a memory, a story, a tradition.
This is not just a season.
It is a feeling.
And we invite you to experience it with us — not as an observer, but as a guest — at our Christmas Eve table.
On this special evening, we serve a Traditional Czech Christmas Eve Dinner, prepared and shared the way it has been for generations:
Kuba, an old Czech dish of barley, mushrooms and garlic
Traditional fish soup
Fried carp with potato salad, the heart of the Christmas Eve table
Homemade apple strudel
A tasting of classic Czech Christmas cookies
For those who love mulled wine, we prepare a festive version enriched with port wine and rum-soaked raisins — warming, fragrant and slow to sip.
As a small Christmas gift, each guest receives a box of our most loved homemade Christmas sweets, to take a piece of this evening with them.
A quiet, intimate celebration of food, traditions and togetherness —
shared the Czech way, in a real home, around a real table.
