From the heart, I invite you to join me on a walk through Vyšehrad — the place where Prague’s story began.
Rising quietly above the Vltava River, Vyšehrad is filled with legends, history and a unique, almost timeless atmosphere. This is a place to slow down, to listen, to look — and to taste.
Together, we walk at an unhurried pace, stopping at three of my favorite local spots, where we enjoy carefully chosen Czech delicacies. Along the way, you may taste pickled cheeses, homemade soups, freshly prepared crêpes with fillings of your choice, as well as Czech wine and traditional fruit or herbal liqueurs.
In the colder months, the experience becomes even more intimate — we gather around an open fire to roast sausages, just as people have done here for generations.
Vyšehrad offers some of the most peaceful and beautiful viewpoints in Prague.
We pause to take in views of Prague Castle, the Nusle Valley and bridge, and the winding Vltava River below.
If you wish, the walk can also include a visit to the 17th-century casemates, hidden deep within the fortress walls, where six original Baroque statues from Charles Bridge are kept — a powerful and rarely seen place.
More Than a Walk
This experience is not about checking sights off a list.
It is about presence, stories, flavors and quiet moments — about discovering Prague through a place that many visitors never truly get to know.
Vyšehrad reveals itself slowly.
And those who walk it this way often leave with a deeper connection to the city — and a memory that lingers.
Visit to the Vyšehrad Underground on request is not included in the price
